Ride For Safety
Minidoka Memorial Hospital sponsored the 5th annual Ride For Safety on
July 2nd. Hundreds of kids, parents, volunteers and hospital employees
converged on the front lawn to decorate bikes, get new bike helmets, have
their bikes inspected and eat hotdogs, chips and enjoy soda. Carl Hanson was
seen attaching cards to bikes with clothes pins to almost every bike that
came through. Marcia Drage was busy fitting kids with the proper size of
helmet, while Joel Rogers cooked and cooked and cooked those yummy hotdogs.
MMH has given away over 1000 helmets over the past five years. Ride for
Safety is a way to promote exercise, safety and youth and adult positive
relationships. Thanks to all of our hospital employees that volunteered to
help make this event a huge success.
